Acupuncture Styles
Alexis was lucky enough to attend Tristate College of Acupuncture in NYC in 2013. Tristate was the only school at that time teaching three styles of Acupuncture as a stand alone program without herbs. Their thought process being that you WILL become a very skilled acupuncturist in their graduate program, without the distraction of studying herbs at the same time. Alexis studied APM (acupuncture physical medicine), KM (Japanese style acupuncture with Kiiko Matsumoto), and TCM (traditional chinese medicine.) Her style today is most closely tied to APM, which incorporates trigger point needling when necessary as well as a deeply balancing full body treatment; addressing pain and disfunction but also deep emotional well being.
